Is a company founded by the Municipality of Hradec Králové focused on providing cultural services,
educational activities, support of civil initiatives in the area of culture and arts,
support of tourism development in within the city, providing information on European Union
and production agency activities.
HKVS develops its activities in Adalbertinum building built between 1895 – 1897 in pseudo-baroque
and secession style as well as in former chapel of St. John of Nepomuk, which currently houses the City music hall
with organ from Krnov. The other sites operated by HKVS include Medium cultural centre, which supports
cultural activities at Moravské předměstí (Moravian suburb), summer cinema and Youth centre in Malšovice.
HKVS also runs the dominant feature of the city of Hradec Králové, the Renaissance-style White Tower
built in 1574 – 1580 with the second biggest bell in Bohemia called Augustin. HKVS operates two information centres
as well as a Regional European Information Centre at Gočárova street and at Velké náměstí (Old town square).
Last, but not least HKVS runs Centre for popular traditions at Šrámek´s farm in Piletice.
